When it comes to ice-cream, I am an absolute sucker for this icy goodness. Yet, the excess sugars and unwanted additives in your regular scoop do not make it an ideal snack healthwise. But alas, no need to fear nor worry because I present "Banana Nicecream" which tastes just as good AND excludes all those nasties. Banana is the only ingredient you need - the others give it some extra fun tastiness. Just prep the night before by freezing the banana slices and you can then make it in 5 minutes the morning after!
*Save yourself the hassle and cut these into thin slices BEFORE freezing to save time (your own) and also energy (the blender's).
**Any kind of milk will work- it just adds a little bit of softness to the nicecream. I generally use the milk depending on whcih blender I am using, if I am going for a thicker ice cream I opt out for the milk.
Adding the ground flaxseed here doesn't affect the taste too much but it is a great source of omega-3 so I definitely would recommend it.
Personally, I love the nutty flavour that the organic and natural peanut butter adds and if you want, you can use any sort of nut butter to mimic this. If not desired, just omit it. You can really transform the icecream into any flavour you desire. For example, add chocolate protein powder for a Choc variation or add mint and choc-chips for Mint Choc nicecream.
