Peanut chia protein slice

Delicious protein packed slice that leaves you feeling fuller for longer and also tastes out of this world. The secret addition of chia seeds brings in a sneaky omega 3 boost and an extra crunch on top of the nuts.

Ingredients
  • 12 pitted dates,
    softened*
  • 1 can chickpeas,
    drained
  • 1/2 C natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 C almond flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 C protein powder
  • 1/4 C chia seeds
  • 1/2 C choc chips

Method
  1. Grease a smaller rectangular baking pan and line with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Use some extra water if necessary to achieve a smooth easy to spread consistency.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden on top. Enjoy!
NOTES

*With dried dates, you will need to soak them in boiling hot water for 10 minutes and then drain them. I would recommend reserve the water to use later so you can achieve the desired consistency.
